"Everything you do makes a difference." EarthEcho International's programs are dedicated to the legacy of Philippe Cousteau Sr.; a legacy of devotion to the conservation and restoration of the oceans and one that can be shared by all people. In the words of EarthEcho International co-founder, Philippe Cousteau Jr.,
"I grew up hearing about how important the work was. Sitting with my grandfather and listening to his life's stories — hearing the urgency in his voice — being inspired by the passion my own father had for taking action for a better future — that was instrumental to my becoming the person I am today. You could call it a family legacy. Or you could call it just good teaching. Regardless, I am a firm believer that if we are to build the sustainable future we all dream of, we must do it together. Each of us...all of us...making a positive difference."
EarthEcho International's mission is to foster extraordinary leaders to take action to restore and protect our oceans. In order to achieve our mission, a whole new generation must be trained as environmental leaders and advocates for the oceans. The last 50 years has seen the greatest amount of destruction of our Oceans and we believe that it is the next 50 years...OUR 50 YEARS...in which we can embrace the new promise of just, healthy, and abundant Oceans.
